Joe Bonamassa - Live From Nowhere In Particular album cover

Joe Bonamassa is one of the most famous and still promising Blues guitar players of today. The 31-year-old guitarist from New York has released 9 records, most of which have hit and reigned over the Blues Billboard for some time. Actually, Joe has been in and about music since he was 11 years old and first opened for Blues giant B.B. King at the age of twelve!
Furthermore, having studied different music genres such as Country, Jazz and of course Rock has brought richness and versatility to his playing, let alone his technical accuracy that in his flashiest moments could beat even a shredder. So, in this live record Bonamassa and Co. do what they know best. They deliver some powerful and perfectly played  Blues/Rock dynamites with several acoustic, Hard Rock and even Prog Rock moments. There are also a couple of slow emotional bluesy ballads, where apart from his creamy and highly expressive guitar tone, Joe shows his great vocal abilities as well, the highlight being Sloe Gin.
Everything's in perfect order here. The rhythm section is very groovy, the keys contribute by making the sound fuller, the production rocks and Bonamassa is the big star. The only thing that one would expect from such a live album is some more soloing from bass and keys, whose role seems a bit restricted. Still, however, this album rocks!
