Pursuit
Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: PURSUIT; independently unsigned, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Heavy Metal/Hard Rock, on their debut full-length studio album entitled: "Loose Lips" (released November 25th, 2022). Since formation in 2022; the quintet in question have only this here debut full-length studio album in their discography so far, 8 tracks ranging around 45 minutes - PURSUIT arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Heavy Metal/Hard Rock amalgamations.
Opening up with this searing revel of rampantly rompy riffage & pummeled beats; a riveting rollick rumbles with reverberating trembles amongst a distorted calamity in wildly rushing heat, adrenaline fueled amplification distills a dense impact in impulsing ferocity whilst thunderous thuds rip with shredding solidity within "Lovers Have Their Place". This old school synergy persists with persevering rockage; belting a clobbering foundation in a crescendo building hybrid, where vocals from Johannes Hurtig fabricates at a distinct attribute in high-pitched throatiness & uproarious yells that shout with rawly rough screams to boot. An experimental roughness within the sound production towers with demo-esque furore for the ultimate prowess on technical ramification; utilizing this versatile vehemence on razor-sharp meatiness & primitive volatility, rifting with twinning guitar hooks from chugging frolickers Tariq Lorenz (on lead) & Patrick Fischer (on rhythm).
A flamboyant stridency showcases this organic substance on dexterously dynamic virtuosity; quintessentially unleashing sulfurous yet relentless momentum on sonically seamless strikes that pursuit with thrilling slabbiness that just rocks with suave sophisticated premise, where "Coins On Your Eyes" bulldozes eardrums with monolithic tempo & profusely robust strums of striking pursuit that riffs with a firing all cylinder approach. A catchy element in implementing a concretely gritty instrumental tremor punches out with this weighty overdrive on salubriously melodic remedy, where towering bass audibility from Antonio Martinez thumps out some razor-sharp licks while rambunctious piledrives tremble speakers with groovy harmony. "Your Last Kiss" pierces out some stompy precision from hammering drummer Oliver Leonhardt; who swifts with rapid pounds on pummeling heft, crafting a killer strife on thudding sturdiness & nimble songwriting musicianship - especially in the mighty "Roadreaper".
Surging with speedy velocity; PURSUIT saw with motoring rawness while pandemonic but blisteringly complex skill stampedes with rampaging agility and immense caliber, relentlessly manifesting this energetic agility in euphonic momentum & prodigious zeal that prestigiously ramifies with electric bombast for good measure. "Porcelain" forges an intense mobility on rolling snappiness & vibrantly potent finesse, as grinding guitar grips slay with nothing but high-octane tightness. While the penultimate banger "Hate Your Darlings" executes at a boisterously bouncy assimilation in a barrage frenzy masquerade that's throttled while meticulous jumpiness & vivacious shroud to boot.
Overall concluding "Loose Lips" with the finale epic rager: "Beast With Two Backs"; I am compelled to say that PURSUIT offered a healthy dose in an infectious injection of venomous, old-school tradition in Heavy Metal/Hard Rock systematics that's worthy of spinning & replaying a good bunch of times. While frenetic and choppy, a crisp sound production expertise fiercely gallops with trailblazing steadiness that's technically overkill whilst progressively driving all throughout. Now go back to the past & rock this flexibly radical fundamental in prominent, traditional rock mayhem that's rather splendid whilst enjoyably captivating. An entertaining discovery of these justifiable and chosen genres from PURSUIT awaits within your rocking soul, do check it out.
