Since the promo bio was in a different language, and their record label had no information about the band, and The Metal Archives didn't either, I have nothing to go on for the review, so we are going to have to let the music do the talking. The album has eight songs, and "Showdown" is the first. It bears a fairly simple riff, with Hard Rock tendencies, and the vocals are earnest grunts of sorts. The sound is pretty heavy and intense. "The Devil's Lullaby" has a meaty bass line that thwacks along with the riff. The vocals are again earnest and the tones are a bit tense. Some quasi-psychedelic elements come in towards the slower ending.

"Into the Storm" has a similar sound, but the energy of the band can't be denied. I can see how easily this kind of music would translate to a live show, and the kind where the audience fucked things up. "The Tides" is another song that features bass high in the mix. But hey could make it stand out even a bit more if they wanted to. It might help to counter some of the overly simple riffing. "Queen of Hearts" is a tidy little song with fuzzy rhythms and heavy bass. Don't look for overly complicated music here because this is about as straightforward as it gets.

"Grim Reaper's Delight" revs up a bit with drums before it gets moving. It's a bit slower and perhaps a bit darker as well, like the title suggests. But it picks up a bit later and heads for the hills. The title track has a strange little riff that repeats throughout the song. The vocals are more intense as well, with some backing tracks. There is a slow-down near the half-way mark, but it picks back up again. "Burnout" closes the album. There are clean guitars, and harmonica, in this blues inspired song. This is the sound I was waiting for...it drips with emotion and passion. If they could channel this into future tracks, they would be onto something big.

For me, the album sounds a little more in line with the Stoner Metal genre, sounding a bit like CROWBAR. When on a motorcycle, start it up, let out the clutch, hit the throttle, and head out. There isn't really any need to think about where or why. That is the spirit of the album.
