From Bandcamp, "after opening the sorcerous gate through Al-Khem-Me-cal processes on the previous album, we have again embraced every atom of the blackest mass to conjure darkness from a more cabalistic perspective. Musically, we have always drawn influences from all corners of the musical abyss," the band continue. There are noticeable differences compared to previous material, but we do not stray from our path. In fact, we have deepened the path with even more layers than before." The album has eight songs.

"Obscure and Forbidden" is the first. It's pretty much old, school, FWOBM influenced Black Metal. There are indeed some layers here, but the vocals are key to the traditional sound, and the leads are pretty spastic. "Qliphotic Trance" is about half as long, and jam packed with horrid sounds and not a lot of structure. "The Veils of Negative Existence" has some audible bass notes but remains fairly forgettable in the annals of things. "Khirdir's Urn" is unfortunately more of the same. This is getting painful.

"Sigilum Azoetia - The Map of Possibility" is, you guessed it, more of the same sound coming around again. There are some pretty neat moments in the song, like the way the riff descends, but it is forgettable. "The Iconostastis of Blasphemy" makes the album sound like it is just one track playing again and again. The title track closes the album, and it's the longest. Finally, a little variation is offered, but not much. Despite a change in the opening sequence, it falls right back into the trap the rest of the album has.

This album wasn't a total loss for a listening experience but was pretty close. I always think in terms of "what has this band offered that hasn't been offered before?" Or, at the very least, "are they revitalizing and older sound?" The answer is nothing and no.
