Being an acoustic album most of the songs are already known to fans and only to evaluate the quality of the arrangements and whether their new version is good or not. I am an old listener of the band since the album Ecliptica (1999), so all the songs have been thoroughly explored by those who write to you in their original version. Finland's SONATA ARCTICA need no introduction, besides significantly influencing the Power Melodic metal scene, they're a band that's not only famous for consistently delivering studio albums of high quality but also for experimenting and breaking out of their musical comfort zone. Of course, fans of usually know what they get, but in 2016, the group even surprised them by starting their "Acoustic Adventures", an idea allowing them to breathe, to challenge themselves and to gather new energy. In 2019, the story finally found its continuation outside of Finland and made SONATA ARCTICA decides that those adaptations, including almost completely re-arranged tracks and songs that the quintet rarely used to play live during the last years, shouldn't only be available in the form of fan-made videos on fans memories releasing "Adventures II".

Making a comparison with its predecessor, I believe that the great leap in quality took place in production and mixing, which are extremely well done in the latest work, leaving aside the previous flaws, the choices of the songs also seem to me better here. Speaking of choices "I Have A Right" was a great option to opener, I mean, the song is very popular, the arrangements are great and since its not the fastest one, just remove the weight of the guitars and bring a softer vocal, in addition the track is very relaxing and leaves us curious to know what else we can experience.

"FullMoon" and "Victoria's Secret" join the opener to form the three best adaptations, the first with a great job on the bass, and a nice little change in pace making it a little slower, and the second one , well, it changes a lot, besides lyrics everything here seems fresh, making it very inspiring, also the duration of it got more than a minute shorter. Regarding "Letter To Dana" there is no big changes considering that it already had a more acoustic strand even before. "Half A Marathon Man" is another good one, reminding me some of the Swedish ABBA rhythm, the groves here follow more some king of excitement path. "Flag In The Ground" and "Broken" are in average place and I didn't like this version of "San Sebastian". I consider "Acoustic Adventures - Volume Two" a good album, with two very positive points, being them the improvement in relation to volume one, and the exceptional quality of mixing and production.
