Immemoreal formed back in '93 as a two-member band. Since then, the only material released is 3 demos and a track in 'VOD rec Compilation Vol3'. The first two demos were recorded on a portable studio therefore the result was 'not for weak ears' as the company says. After their 3rd demo 'Towards 1347' Goatnecro (ex-Ablaze My Sorrow) joined the band so everyone expected the unexpected. With this man and his knowledge they could become powerfull enough to release a full length album.
And so they did, 'Temple Of Retribution' is one of the hottest n.w.o.s.d.m ever released. It has blasting parts, death metal influenses, melodic tunes and some melodies that remind me of epic stuff like thyrfing. The 'black' parts are fast with crystal sound on the guitars and of course the hellish vocals of Goatnecro. The bad parts of the record the ones that say 'Who am i right now? At the gates, Dissection or Dark Tranquility?' but they are few and not much noticeable. The intros are made by Morpheus from Limbonic Art, and they have additional vocals from Fredrika from Anata. For their 1st full work they are amazing and the sound is great. I will await for their 2nd tremendous work, and i am sure that it will be at least on step foward from every other Swedish band right now in the same style.
To any Swedish Death metal fanatic out there i would suggest this album as one of the greatest releases in the style for now. 'Temple Of Retribution' Is not another melodic death album, it contains power, speed and riffs that will give you a nice blow in the face... Just to remember them.
When you listen to it, jump immediately to 'Blazing Glory'. En epic instrumental song that will stay in your mind for it's cathy melody for a long time.
