"Reverential Silence" is the first; a 15-minute beast. The opening tones are dreadful, and hopeless, and each time the riff and drums strike in the same beat, the stake is driven in deeper. A key change brings harsh vocals...guttural and abyssal; a hole that cannot be filled. Approaching the middle, lead guitars add layers and depth to the sound. As the ebb and flow of a meaningless life continue, you feel lost in the crowd of people who are wandering without a purpose. The title of the song tells it all..."feeling silent in showing deep and solemn respect."

"Transition" is a much shorter song, that begins with sober acoustical guitar tones and some background ambiance. Are you at a turning point in your life, where you don't know which way to turn? This song encapsulates this turbulence, with fragile guitar note that disappear into the air as soon as they are struck. They are so beautiful that they make your heart ache. "In A Solace Light" closes the album. Drums reverberate in your empty chest cavity, with enough mass to crush you. The riff is dark and your discouragement is everlasting. The lead notes hang in the air like a heavy mist and the vocal echo for days. The song swells with more desperation with every passing minute until it is nearly done, then the sound dies slowly, along with whatever hope you may have had left.

If an endless succession of dreary days is the thing that you dread the most, load in this album and become immersed in barren landscapes of monotonous days, where even getting out of bed in the morning becomes a chore that causes you great angst. The weight of the album is boundless. Is the resolve of the human spirit enough to overcome this? The listener will have to decide this for themselves.
