Hiroshima Will Burn - To The Weight Of All Things album cover

Why do some people want to restrict themselves within one specific genre? I mean, when I saw the band's logo I knew I would listen to a Deathcore/Death Metal album. They all seem the same nowadays. Anyway, that's not the point right now. Let's see if these guys can produce some good music...

Oh, one more band from Australia. This country is mostly about filthy Hard Rock, so it seems that HIROSHIMA WILL BURN are trying to make the difference here. After a demo CD that got them signed to Lacerated Enemy Records, the band prepared and released their debut album To The Weight Of All Things. The weird thing about this band is that some days ago they posted an announcement that... they split up!

The story is pretty classic for one more time. Gore style logo, mastering by the one and only Alan Douches (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, NILE) and a note on the promo sheet that says For fans of THE FACELESS, ORIGIN, NECROPHAGIST, ALL SHALL PERISH... and I will just add JOB FOR A COWBOY, a band that they probably admire. Technical breaks, furious blasting and frenzy shredding guitars are only a few of the components this album contains. Classic beatdown stuff, bestial vocals and all your beloved modern brutal stuff are also here.

On one hand I found some parts really tiring since these guys have the technical abilities but seem unable to handle them and use them correctly, but on the other hand I see some potential in HIROSHIMA WILL BURN's music. Now is the part I would usually say that I will be waiting for their next album to see if they will work and present a better and well worked release, but since they split up it seems that it is not going to happen. Anyway, a not so bad choice for metalheads who are into modern brutal stuff.
