Eldritch Anatomy
Ensanguinate
Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: ENSANGUINATE; signed via Emanzipation Records, hailing from Slovenian grounds - performing pitch-black Death Metal, reminiscent of 80s classic Extreme Metal... on their debut album entitled: "Eldritch Anatomy" (released 02/09/2022). Since formation in 2020; the quartet in question have only this debut album in their discography so far, 9 tracks ranging around 44:09 - ENSANGUINATE arrange an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Death Metal developments.
Opening up with this snarly scouring of riffing blasphemy; a rampantly rompy ramification belts a clobbering foundation in raw rough synergy that thuds out some sturdy, pandemonic adrenaline and bulldozing bounciness in boisterous frenzies that rumble with reverberating maliciousness within "Hunted". Rifting through with symbolic virtuosity & monolithic tempo of mayhem stability; this strident wrath of rampaging stampede amongst a chiseling chop in crunchy execution elements at a killer laceration mobility on snappy slays of sulfurous grinds, frolicking into a galloping chug of monstrously meaty manifestations on volatile robustness. Profuse strikes pursuit with bludgeoning haste in "Cadaver Synod"; as amplified heftiness crafts a frenetic outburst of punchy jumpiness, weighty trembles & savagely sinister tremors that quake with wildly rushing versatility among a vehemently visceral artillery in ripping shreds from guitar twinning rattlers: Andrej Cuk (also on vocals)/Jaka Crešnar. Both swift with nimble substance on organic technicality that thunders with uproarious noise terror, extreme calamity and razor-sharp tonality for good measure.
Andrej's vocals surge with throaty soars & raspy rage; where shouty perseverance growls intensely with these immense grumbles in growly but bleeding cords that's most malignant. "Ghoul Presence" attributes intensely with this solidity, while pugnacious distortion fabricates at a fierce flamboyance in firepower expertise and throttling pummels from hammering drummer Matjaž Winkler who piledrives with rambunctious slabiness alongside flickering bassist Miha Šinigoj who thumps out some concretely gritty harmonies in experimental beefiness as a berserking conundrum injects an infectiously venomous shroud of some gruesome - groove-bombing attacks that's most salubrious for headbanging brutality. "Perdition's Crown" forges a dark but blackened atmosphere embedded - as a flexible but fundamental bombardment distills with radically wicked seamlessness on sonically relentless rollicks that raze with thrashing momentum with the most bestial of intentions.
"Gaping Maws Of Cerberus" revels with more riveting desegregation and impulsing impacts of ominously jarring severities in deathly kicks which compile a hardened but groundbreaking assimilation in trampling viciousness which sweeps with seething jolts in bolting blast beats that tears right through you with motivating torment (of the utmost good kind), unearthing this cadaverous ashen in ghastly abomination that's just totally crushing. "Lowermost Baptisms" chops out these chunky but exhilarating strifes of swarvy yet sophisticated transitions on abhorrent collision and symbolic transgression that smacks you with steely precision & sweltering patterns of vitriolic malevolence of the most scathing while revolting. "Sublimation" ushers out more menacing traits on blistering booms and dexterously dynamic abominations in demolishing rhythms of shrieking oppression, guaranteed in a bone-breaking good time that resonates with nothing but demonstrating a destructive listen that revolves through you with piercing rowdiness within this mortifying merger of maelstrom songwriting musicianship which provides strumming affliction for good sport.
The penultimate banger: "Death Vernacular" empowers speakers with pulverizing anguish, boiling high as a cavernous burst implodes with virulent swarve until the overall concluding epic: "Vile Grace" systematically smothers eardrums into a acoustic introduction in ethereal haze - until more brisk contortion exuberantly floods eardrums with zealous devastation amongst a hybrid contrast in bruising but blackened fervor that's just tyrannic while harboring a fueled disdain among the masses for barbaric intent. Bottom line; I am compelled to say that ENSANGUINATE most surely outdone themselves with this one for a debut deliverance, if you share this detest in the world's political scandals right now & need to vent out some heated frustrations without triggering anyone, give "Eldritch Anatomy" a bash as it will start to relish your soul as an entertaining discovery awaits you while making this one an enjoyable slice on this subgenre with justifiable furore, do check it out!
