Hollywood Hairspray 6

Sleaze/Glam Rock (and Metal) music owns its existence - according to my ears' beliefs - to four factors (three out of four are 'musical', the later bein' 'cultural'...): a) the Blues, b) 70s Punk Rock music, c) late 70s/early 80s Hard Rock, d) tattoos-booze-boobs. Perris Records presents sixteen 'new and unreleased' tunes in the sixth volume of the Hollywood Hairspary series, circulating around the above axioms.
The Perris roster is probably familiar to you, if your likes move along to the (70s) AC/DC / (70s) KISS / NEW YORK DOLLS legacy. Dirty guitars, philthy drumming, punk-y bass lines, alcoholic vocals and the story goes. The deeds of MOTLEY CRUE, THE ALMIGHTY, FASTER PUSSYCAT, LA GUNS, BANG TANGO nad whoever else you can imagine is transformed to these bands, ready to sell their soul for another shot of snortin' whiskey. Good...
I love WOLFCHILD's One Woman and ROCKARMA's Rock N' Roll Tonight, while most of the tunes are in the same formula; mid-to-fast tempo (would like more of a 'grooves' variety). Hollywood Hairspary Vol.6 is one helluva good way to get known to today's US Glam/Sleaze scene. 'Cause - rest assured - there IS a good scene over there. 'Smoking' clubs, bikes and alcohol; I feel sorry for the youths unlucky enough to pass by the (maybe) most original transform of (long gone) Rock n Roll.
P.S.: PUSSY SISSTER rulez!
