Well we have here a death metal band due all the way from Canada and Germany. They are called DEAD SOUL ALLIANCE, the two members are WOLVEN DEADSOUL on vocals, guitar & bass whereas the other half is E.H on drums. They are just astonishing to listen to, their drive and approach to their music which was once described as "a good combination of aggressive speed, crushing heaviness and macabre atmosphere". This dynamic duo started out in 2010, firstly releasing their debut EP titled DEADSOULALLIANCE(2011) closely followed by a sequel titled PROUD TO DIE in 2013. But then in 2017 after a long gap, they returned for their third EP titled SLAVES TO THE APOCALYPSE. Now the band have finally got around to what is their debut full length album titled BEHIND THE SCENES available now in CD format.

The first track which is a 5 minute intro of absolute, hell-raising metal mania going through the motions. "Behind The Scenes" is just the beginning of more exhausting but climatic death metal pushing the limits of what's audible. We also hear a rather odd sound at the start before the cry and rapid death metal sound, with all instruments bursting into the fore. "Screams For The Asylum" in succession is following the same rhythm, dynamics and tone.

The ending does feature loud and haunting guitar guitar feedback or vibrato before going into the next track. "Mental Comatose" shrieks beyond anything we can imagine, keeping the momentum going, the slower section with a pitch shift is a nice addition. "Behold Forever Darkness" being a track that clocks in at 3 minutes is more of the same and features a less racy section once more. This is before it goes back to full on deadly, mind-blowing thumps of captivating noise.

"Catastrophic Chaos" and "Equilibrium Dead" share a lot in common, the fifth track is pulled back but not by much. "Ancient Rulers Of Greed" goes back to the original tempo, staying on course for constant, metallic, splashes of agonising devastation. "Upon Their Return" seems to have more of a thrash sound mixed in with death metal. It's clear the continuity and consistency is almost inspirational but rather ominous too. The final track is titled "Perceptual Recycled Existence".

This final track proves the band have made their step to becoming more popular. They're hungry and eager too considering their previous releases, their approach is different but the raw sound of death metal is old school as well. Lots of emphasis on the harmonics, melody and wild guitar riffs accompanied by vocals and bone-crushing drum patterns. Watch out for these guys, they're here to stay!
