Of a force unfettered and a force unsanctioned ALL WASTED explodes unto the scene with their debut LP Burn With Me. The 46 minute 13 track piece explores a melodic avenue of Metal with most tracks containing a focus on polyphony and contrast.

The album opens on the track, "Passion Of Crime," a four count on the snare ushers in the rest of the band which quickly diverges into harmony before the verse comes into focus; the song as a whole builds on contrast using the divisi in transitions to create significant tension that escalades into a kind of crescendo that comes to a head during the chorus. "Towards The End" has a slow start to it gaining its strength from a build-up that quickly fades and changes as the verse comes to the front whose tension is repeated in the transition from chorus to verse. "The Rise" constantly shifts between build-up in the verses and surrounding phrases and pinnacle within the chorus. "Dawn Will Rise No More" is a promising composition granted strength by its

The performance given for each instrument is exceptional at best, however the fidelity of each along with its incorporated instance is what breaks the charm of the record. The technicality involved in each track is lost as the guitars and drums are constantly fighting for dominance over one another with the bass being the only instrument to sit solidly in the mix. "Burn With Me" features a cymbal heavy chorus that drowns out everything that isn't sitting beneath the mid-range the radio-style filter put on the vocals only damages this element more as it forces the already distorted vocals into clipping lo-fi that washes into the mix. The vocals contain no dynamics remaining at the same volume and intensity for the entire progression of the LP from the tacet expressions of "Out Of This Grave" to the shrieking belts of "This Means War" very little is offered in difference between the two.

As a debut Burn With Me accomplishes quite a bit for the band in showcasing their performance and writing prowess, as a mix though the LP is lacking feeling that it could benefit greatly from being mastered once more. For anyone who's a fan of heavy piercingly melodious music ALL WASTED is a sure contender, their debut hopefully heralds even greater ambitions on the horizon.
