Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: INTERPOLANT; signed via Terminarch Records, hailing from the Netherlegion grounds - performing Death Metal, on the debut album entitled: "Arbor" (released April 28th, 2021).
Since formation in 2020; the soloist in question has only his debut album in his discography so far entitled: "Arbor". 7 tracks ranging at around 20:44; INTERPOLANT arrange an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Death Metal developments.
Opening up with this otherworldly revelation on spacious static; "Aspen Grove" explodes onto the scene with rampantly rompy piledriving ramification, stampeding viciously with rambunctious reverberation while meticulously manifesting with trembling rumbles amongst a belting furocity in thudding sturdiness. Wildly rushing synergy experiments a hybrid grind in blistering bombast; boisterously bouncy grooves and a deadly barraged frenzy in flamboyant distortion, brutally clobbering a distinctive calamity in crunchy laceration & killer mobility. Where progressively technical kicks stomp with weighty tightness & sonically relentless seamlessness, where vibrantly volatile potency injects an infectiously primitive throttling on ruthless pandemonium & trailblazing substance on organic momentum especially in "Sycamore".
Consisting of soloist Tobias Borra who performs on all instruments and vocals; the frontman excels at a immersively intense boundary on rapidly swift nimbleness, veracious variety & profusely robust thumpiness that skyrockets with sulfurous foundations in hammering firepower heft. "Ascendent" elements a quintessential quirk on some zestful virtuosity, surging with striking slams & uniquely versatile vehemence on outrè panache. The vocals roar with raspy throatiness, while the slaying grandeur gravitates with unique maelstrom persistence. Gritty growls and guttural bellows bark into a gnarly fabrication on raging but grovelling perseverance, while the gripping hooks hastefully smack you with vigorous rigor & monolithic tempos that execute a rifting towering on salubriously maddening rhythms that will rattle your skull with evil empowering finesse.
"Tannhäuser Gate" starts off with this short yet synthesized melody, until more pummelling remedies merges with the symbiotic swerve on harmonic deadliness until "Monument" materialises more spontaneous hymns before an outburst of bludgeoning drums batter eardrums with full force impact. Another bulldozing belter is within the titular track: "Semper Virens" unearths this majestic soundwave of flexibly fundamental chaos before closing the recording with the longest offering on the record: "The Cartographer's Song" an apt title that is full of variety and dynamically dexterous distinctions that will make you marvel at the mesmerising intrigues in which this one-man soloists performs with remarkably distinguished ambition.
With that overall conclusion; I am compelled to say that INTERPOLANT is an intriguing listen, full of diverse diligence and detailed songwriting musicianship that makes Tobias and "Arbor" a very talented project that will provide a good handful of replayable spins & enjoyably entertaining headbanging pounding of which you neck and fists would most surely be thankful for! Bottom line; an epic discovery that's most worthy of keeping an eye out on. Do check it out!
