Exarsis - Sentenced To Life album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: EXARSIS; signed via MDD Records, performing Thrash Metal, on their 5th album entitled: "Sentenced To Life" (released November 27th, 2020).

Since formation in 2009; the quinter in question have a Demo entitled: "Demo 2010", a Split: "3 Ways Of Thrashers" (released March 2011) and 5 Full-Length albums entitled: "Under Destruction" (released December 25th, 2011); "The Brutal Slate" (released March 1st, 2013), "The Human Project" (released May 8th, 2015); "New War Order" (released October 20th, 2017), and this here 5th deliverance entitled: "Sentenced To Life". 10 tracks ranging at around 39:46; EXARSIS arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Thrash Metal developments.

Opening up with this news bulletin, implementing a static wave of  political warfare within "Cen$ored"; "Another Betrayal" forges a healthy dose of some sonically seamless firepower in crossover Thrash Metal mayhem. The most notable synthetic is an immensely extreme rift within the vocals from frontman Nick J, his insane screams shout with tight raspiness that never ceases in lowering down, even while singing his heart out. While the tempestuous rollicking of rampantly nimble shreds rumble with reverberating melodies that steamroll with wildly rushing pursuits that thunder with progressively technical stability. "The Truth Is No Defence" strikes with these bulldozing attributes in deadly executions that surge with weighty adrenaline, amplified bounciness and blistering romps that revels with volatile vehemence while remaining sulphurous within a chiselling but primitively raw punchiness that jumps with concrete haste.

Consisting of Kostis F. on guitars; a chugging barrage on meticulous yet killer laceration mobilities drills a borderline foundation on rip-roaring meatiness, while synergetic speediness skyrockets with sonically seamless trailblazing. "Aiming The Eye" soars with these MUNICIPAL WASTE like riffs, while Christos T. engages a momentously organic dynamic in dexterously unique substance & weighty persistence. Persevering with this panache on crunchy belters, and this shouty remedy which resonates with this gravitational leap on pile-driving domination. "Mouthfied" articulates with more venomous injections in infectious bass audibilities from Chris P., who showcases these rampaging complexities and creative harmonies that will make you want to break chairs over other chairs in no time. Thudding with rambunctious hooks and furious fretwork contingencies that triggers with salubrious calamities.

"The Drug..." is a brief instrumental interlude in distorted gnarliness, while treating speakers and eardrums a bit of a breather from the ongoing onslaught this record offers... while "Against My Fears" fires all cylinders in an empowering embodiment on some bruising crescendos that romp with steely precision & rambunctious pummelling from hammering drummer Panos M. who, with everyone else bleeds out this overcharged snare on vicious yet pounding velocity. "One Last Word" fabricates an experimental hybrid on twisty turny grinds, and an implosive combustion on thumpy stompiness that overpowers you with a bulldozing attack on twinning pandemonium, while ruthlessly bombarding a stampeding mobility on relentless tears that portrays like a banshee soaring with utmost uproar while the vocalist yells with outrageous screams & storming singing distinction in which surges with prodigiously prestigious impact.

The penultimate track: "Interplanetary Extermination" destroys, and spellbinds souls with slaying rebellion; piercing through with thrilling maelstrom momentum that unleashes a blitzing anarchy in drilling density that will rattle skulls in no time. Overall concluding "Sentence To Life" with the finale bruiser: "New War Order" totally merges all aforementioned distinguishments in a flamboyant but driving slab on solid results that supplies these skilful grooves in chaotic havoc expertise that will require you to go full-throttle apeshit tenfold. Bottom line; I am compelled to say that EXARSIS are a brilliant band, and an exhilarating discovery that will demand an everlasting addiction for you to replay this one while wanting the need to go back to their previous catalogue in the meantime. An intriguing listen that most definitely deserves a few spins, Thrash Metal maniacs will love this one - do check it out!
