Endstille - Endstilles Reich album cover

Hmmm, it has been some time since I heard some news coming from the ENDSTILLE camp. Maybe I didn't spend any time to learn about this band, but the name ENDSTILLE was familiar to me (from somewhere). Anyway, the fact is that the band's brand new album is being released through Regain Records and I chose to review it. Let's see if my choice will turn out to be good (I hope so)...

ENDSTILLE hail from Germany, something that you may have already understood by some of the song titles. The band is particularly fresh in the Metal scene, since it was formed only 7 years ago, in 2000. The only 7 years of life do not seem a problem at all to the band, since ENDSTILLE have already released four full-length albums! They now decided to release their fifth full-length album through their new home, Regain Records.

ENDSTILLE are delivering a pretty decent kind of brutal Black Metal, which will probably remind you of bands like KULT OV AZAZEL, BELPHEGOR and NAGELFAR. The production is raw and slightly filthy, something that is necessary for this kind of music, and the lyrics are mostly based on the band's personal beliefs and war scenarios. Even though some of you may like this band, they are nothing but common relentless Black Metal with incredibly extreme drumming and raw vocals. Even the guitar melodies are not as good as I expected them to be.

I believe that there are much better Black Metal albums out there. Endstilles Reich is just a typical Black Metal releases to my eyes and I believe that I would not spend my money on such a release. Not bad, but something that could be a lot better. Suggested only to those who have some spare money.
