Demolished.Deformed.Defaced speaks for the whole album. 'Old-school' Death Metal, the Florida way, is what's offered by these guttural Germans, two years after their respected Complete Eradication (2004) debut release. It's not necessary to be a native for the sub-genre style you're smitten with; that's what we observe here. Blood Will Flow anyway...
Eradicate 'flirt' (sic!) with the archetypal squealing outburst fifteen years ago in the 'lower' East Coast of the US. Do you recall the days that Deicide's Glenn Benton promised he'd be dead by 33? Do excerpts from Cannibal Corpse's 'perished' Eaten Back To Life or Tomb Of The Mutilated albums still haunt your tortured soul? Eradicate are here to carry the tradition. Ultra-speed (to the 'grind' edge) parts mixed with groovy 'rotten' breaks, while the guitar 'walls' reek abnormal decay, show you why.
Thede's vocals - paying homage to the 'legacy' of flickering throat of George 'Corpsegrinder' Fischer - will nail you to a nauseous journey through the filthiest paths of your disintegrating dreams. I wish some more sickening solo would be placed among the interesting tons of 'bulldozer' riffs. As for the rhythm section, all is according to the 'killing plan' (as if a relative album could stand 'proud' with out it). The production, on the other hand, is really attractive, since it has a European 'smell' that's pleasingly in contrast with the US-origin song 'sculpturing'.
Eradiate show real dedication to their 'decomposing' goal, and that's - for sure - apparent and on their side. Still, the related lack of 'identity' spots on the fact that they should somehow stick to writing some more 'personal' sickness. Their technical skills are quite promising and - since this is only their sophomore effort - hope is high for a more special approach in their next step. Being 'old-school' is one thing and bearing 'character' is another. So, choose your 'disgusting odour' as soon as possible.
