DEATH EPOCH is a pretty mysterious band. They formed in the early period of this pandemic in Aril 2020. I can't really find out much about them, or where they come from except the depths of hell to spread war death/ black art. The first track "Abysmal Invocation I" is just 4:24 sec of just distorted noise, and dance bass beat, and nothing that really makes any sense. My first thought is it's a bad file, but I think it was done on purpose. It is titled as the first version of it, we'll see if the next is different.

The second track on the album "Genocide I" we get to hear some music. The song starts off with a heavy riff, and demonic growl, before going balls out into very fast paced chords, thundering percussion, and unrecognizable lyrics. The sound could have strengthened some of the guitar, and vocals a little better. After that we get the second version of "Genocide II" a voilent continuation of the first. With the same intensity as the first, more unauditible lyrics, and really hard to hear solo. I would definitely try to work on the sound if it was me.

OK so now we're back to another version "Abysmal Invocation II". It's over nine minutes of noise, and dark undistinguished chants or cantations. I don't know really. I don't recognize any of the languages, words aren't clear. I'm going to jump ahead to the sixth track "Genocide IIII". This track is probably the best on the album so far. I like the snare drum intro, the guitar chords, and the banging on the steel pipe is a nice touch. The lyrics are still the same continuous growl, but the song was pretty good.

I'm going to finish this review with the final track on the album "Ave Satanas". It's a cover track from "Acheroh". A much slower, and much clearer song, badass heavy riff, dark heavy growls, and best sound on the whole album. Overall I didn't really enjoy this album. The sound quality was rough, you couldn't hear the guitar over the drums, and really couldn't make out the lyrics on most. The first track was just a distorted mess, It was hard to listen to it all. A better sound guy, noise gates, something could have really helped.
