MELTDOWN are a Heavy Metal force to be reckoned with that come from Moscow in Russia. Formed back in 2007 they have had a few notable releases since then in both English and their native Russian language, but with the release of their newest E.P, "Tattoo" is sung in English and by awesome vocalist Dasha Osipyan and was released in April 2020.

The E.P open with an absolute bang with the title track "Tattoo". Right off the bat are the heavy riffing from the guitars by Maxim Zaikin and Sergei Elantsev and a solid rhythm section by Bass player Kirill Pevner and Drummer Vladislav Bardonov. With a very catchy chorus mixed with some really cool lead guitar fills and of course a killer guitar solo thrown into the mix for good measure.

Next up we get "Passive - Aggressive" with its killer lead guitar intro and evil sounding riffs. Some serious groove metal sounds going on and that is especially present during the chorus. The song really thunders along with a really good twin guitar attack during the songs middle section and a really good vocal performance from Dasha Osipyan. The last song here is "What Have You Done". This song has a bit of a Metalcore feel to it. The song is also filled with some really great twin Guitar harmonies and an excellent vocal delivery to match. It is truly a really cool track.

Like their last release, "Road Gods", the next half of the E.P is the same songs as before but as instrumentals. It is something I have never really seen if I'm being honest but suppose it could be a really cool idea for those who want to try and sing along by themselves to these songs at home. MELTDOWN seem to have a real classic Heavy Metal vibe to them but with a modern twist to it. With this E.P "Tattoo" it would definitely sound really good in a live setting. After listening to this E.P I started checking out there other stuff as well and this is a band with a lot to offer. They sound killer and got some good lyrics and would love to hear more from them in the future.
