WISHING WELL is a Traditional Heavy Metal Band from Helsinki, Finland. I couldn't find much information on the band excerpt the Facebook page and the YouTube clips. This is their third full-length album after ''Chasing Rainbows'' and ''Rat Race'' that came out in 2016 and 2018 respectively.

The line-up on this 2020 release is the same as the previous album and altogether, they dived head first in making another solid album. I think they know what they want to do and what direction they are willing to go. The sound of the band is pretty diverse but I really felt the Hammond Organ really is the focal point of the band.

I would safely say that they are a mix of DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW and Traditional Mid-Nineties Power Metal. They really have a powerful singer in the likes of Rafael Castillo and he does a fine job fronting this band. He has a very powerful voice and a pretty imposing presence. If you check out their YouTube page, you can see that his this commanding presence and does a great job fronting the band. His live presence reminded me a lot of Steve Grimmett back in the GRIM REAPER days. I really feel that Steve Grimmett might be the most underrated frontman in the history of Heavy Metal, the guy had it all and just commands the stage like no one. He has a powerful voice that captures the audience attention and that's what you need in a band.

You actually have a bit of soft and slower songs. The singer has some powerful pipes but he is in touch with his softer side on a few songs on this opus. Those were obviously not my favourite but it's a nice change of pace I guess. The guy can do it all and shows off some nice range and emotion nonetheless. It will surprise many of the fans out there but he can do a bit of everything and offers a little something for everyone.

I really enjoyed the last song called ''Cosmic Ocean'', it really showed another side of the band with the Spanish classical guitar use and the flute. I felt this song was the best off the new release without a doubt. They wanted to do something rather different and they achieved that goal obviously.

The album is more balanced than the previous effort and you have great guitar work and powerful drumming throughout. The Hammond Organ really is the high point of the band and adds an added touch. It's an instrument of incredible power and makes it majestic in a sense. I wasn't blown away by the band but I felt this was a really solid album nonetheless.
