Dirty Looks - Gasoline album cover

I had not occupied myself to the DIRTY LOOKS sound for more than a decade. And this was a great surprise. A new(?) album, the familiar logo (not pink, this time) and I wonder who else is gonna reform for a slice of the pie.
Of course, Gasoline comes off the Perris label, so even if you have never come across the name it won't be that difficult to guess what's going on here. Gasoline is already available from late August as a digipack release (label?) and Perris Records releases it by including two bonus tracks with the assistance of original guitarist Paul Lidel and ex-DANGEROUS TOYS bassist Jason McMaster.
The Press Release claims the band's back to its roots; the AC/DC style. OK, not that correct. DIRTY LOOKS do have inspiration from the Aussie grandfathers but every Sleaze Metal band does so. Hence, Gasoline features some dirty production (could be done better, though) and some average music with no obvious meaning. I never considered the band to be something bombastic; don't thing this will change now. Even Ostergaard's vocals (distorted, at times) are not teasing enough, as e.g. in 1989's Turn Of The Screw days. Back then, the whole band was more 'metallic' in playing (Beau Hill was the producer and some 'Chris Caffery' dude had offered guitar work).
Gasoline: Only for owners of 99% of the Perris catalogue. not to forget: the bonus tracks are my faves off the whole album (both in music and vocals).
