This is the third full-length album from DYSCORDIA. They hail from Kortrijk, West Flanders in Belgium. They are a Progressive Metal band that have been at it since 2010. They are a rather unknown band but they have been doing festivals steadily since their beginning and have also come out with a SONATA ARCTICA cover back in 2015. When ANTHRAX were the opening act for MOTORHEAD back in the early to mid 2000's, I remember John Bush saying to the Montreal crowd, when you are in a Metal band, you have to have a great singer, because the rest won't matter if you don't have a great singer. Well this band obviously forgot the memo...

The musicianship is top notch and this is by far the best thing on this album. They are a powerhouse band behind a very mediocre singer. It's like if you would have DREAM THEATER with a bad singer or maybe PAIN OF SALVATION without Daniel Gildenlow. You have to have that key element if you want to engage the listener. He lacks the intensity, the charisma and the presence that you so very need. His range isn't the greatest and that hurts the overall value of the album.

You can have the best guitarists, bassists and drummers but if you don't have that capable frontman, everything goes through the wayside. I couldn't wait for the singer to shut up and concentrate on the music at hand. That's not a very good sign and I just felt overly bored at the end. I did not want to listen to the album another time because the singer just did not grab my attention at first hand. There is a lot of potential for the rest of the band but I just could not for the life of me get engaged in this album. They obviously put a lot of time and effort of this but all in all, this was really disappointing.
