This is the fourth release of the Progressive Folk Metal and Instrumental (well mostly!) Band out of the United Kingdom. I couldn't find much information about the band on the internet, they aren't very well known unfortunately and it's a damn shame. They deliver something completely different than what I was expecting to be honest. The Betts brothers took almost 4 years to put out this album. This is a true testament of the effort and the overall passion these guys have for their music. This album is mostly Instrumental, though you do have some occasional humming or whistling. In the genre, most of the bands seem to be happy go lucky. The Folk Metal genre is mostly or even specifically very fun to listen to. It's an enjoyable ride and it makes you want to move and tap your feet to the upbeat rhythms. I think this band breaks the mold, not only they are an instrumental based band, the band delivers an EP resembling a soundtrack to a game or a medieval-based movie or TV series. I felt the music could have fit seamlessly for something along those lines. This band challenges the format of the genre and

The production is top notch, the percussion and keyboards are my favorite part of the EP. They sound crystal clear and add some incredible depth to these songs. I know it's only 18 minutes long but it's a highly enjoyable ride nonetheless. I want to listen to their previous efforts sooner rather than later. As for the cover art, I felt it wasn't all that great. It's an incredibly simple picture of the forest. I mean it could have much better and I know it does fit with the name of the band but that's pretty much it though. They are a mix of SCALE THE SUMMIT mixed in with the instrumental elements of WILDERUN and the ambiance of a band like SYG:AR:TYR. I think they deliver something really different for the genre and it's a great (but appreciated) departure of a stale genre honestly. They are different, they are efficient and this band is for anyone that likes Folk Metal mixed in with influences from older bands like JETHRO TULL or GENTLE GIANT.
