Turkish Death Metal outfit HELLSODOMY return from the studios with their new album "Morbid Cult" after their 2016 debut (Full-Length) album "Chaostorm". Will this be another hit album or is it one-step too far? Let's see...

"Endless Demise" kicks off in the flurry of aggressive and intense vocals from Nekro. The pace that has been set works well to build a goof melody to keep the song ticking over. Although the vocals are deep and dark you can still follow them easily enough. The instrumental skills on show here are easy to hear; the skills are that of an experienced band who know what their sound is. "Pestilence of Black Blood" the build-up on here is decent to set the pace. Vocals come in and guide the song through the motions successfully. The melody made is very catchy, feet will tap and heads will bang to this one. It does not have the same pace as "Endless Demise", but it does work just as well in its harmonic melody created. The guitar plays in the final minute builds up nicely, a true talent that is used very well.

"Hateclan" feels like old school Death Metal, its rawer power. The vocals are coarser and dark, but still able to be understood. The build-up play from the guitars is awesome, it adds depth to the songs where the vocals are used in shorter doses, to great effect. The melody created for this song works perfectly to the strengths of each and every band member. When the riffs kick in, you can truly appreciate them. "Divided Souls" kicks into gear in similar stature to "Hateclan". The raw talent and aggression mix works perfectly for the song, its similar but not the same song. The guitar riffs thrown in here show talent again from the band who have stretched out and got into their element at this point in the album.

"Dazed Victims" is another song built on raw aggression. It is done successfully. The structure of the song maybe similar to the album's overall, but if it's not broke as they say. The band have gelled on their sound and are showing off their talent in this jam session. The pace is like that of BOLT THROWER, its frantic but controlled perfectly. A great balance.

No, it is not one-step too far. A solid effort all round. The pace set in the songs works for how they build their own harmonies. It is their own sound and they have done wonders with it. These guys have the talent and drive to create more great music and that is something I will look out for
