Horror Vacui

SATHAMEL started out North of England in 2013 as SHEOL in their first year of existence, in 2014 and made to the finals in Metal 2 The Masses that same year and released their first self-titled EP in 2015, they rolled in 2017 and disbanded do to internal issues and have marked their return with "Horror Vacui".
"Libera Me" shows immediately why they are put in the genre of Black/Death Metal, the song begins with a Black Metal feel but soon protrude into a mixture of Black and Death Metal, I'm not a huge fan of Black but the intrusion of Death makes it much more tolerable. "Horror Vacui" begins more of a Death Metal sound and carries it on throughout, with subtle hints of Black Metal but much heavier than the first tune. "Raise Flame From Ash" is pure aggression with awesome guitars, crushing drums and brutal vocals coming together to form what may be the best song on the album, it's only 2 minutes and thirty eight seconds but it packs a punch.
"A New Age Of Lyncanthropy" seems to be even heavier and darker than all the songs that have come before it on this album and also seems that they may have focused on this track more so than the others, it's very well put together. "The Devil's Hand" starts out dark and somewhat melodic, vastly picking up the tempo to a path of destruction with killer guitars switching up throughout and wicked vocals on a steady incline of heaviness. "Whisper Of A Husk" is another solid song, that is packed full of powerful vocals and brilliant guitars, if this is your thing, this song is a must listen.
"Swit" is a soul haunting piece, with snarling vocals and melodic musicianship woven together to make another awesome song. "There Where Is No Time" is a song that I had to do a triple check to make sure I got the title right, it is more of a vocal driven song, it's not as complex musically as other songs on this album but still remains to be a good song. "Of Spilled Wine And Broken Glass" is the longest song on the album and another vocal and guitar driven song, I would like to say that is clear that they put in Time to make this song as perfect as it can be but would probably read right after that it took ten minutes to complete this work of art.
I'm humbled, after telling anyone that would listen that Black Metal wasn't music to me, not long ago, I will have to say that in this fashion is simply brilliant and a must listen.
