Murder Made God

Greek Death Metal band, MURDER MADE GOD is releasing their third full length album titled "Endless Return" later this month following their first two albums. Their discography consists of being "Irreverence" in 2013 and "Enslaved" in 2016. The quartet first formed in 2011, and since then these guys have showed no sign of any slowdown in their work towards helping keep the death metal scene alive in Greece.
"Alive" is the first song on the record and serves as the introductory into the brutal death metal that MURDER MADE GOD is all about. The slow angry guitar just creeps in at the beginning and straight into some blast beats that will make your jaw drop. George's low growls are just the icing on the cake that completes it all to give you that hard punching, aggressive technical sound. "World Defect" follows up with a heavy intro that'll make you notice the phenomenal drumming from Tolis throughout. The double bass and tremolo picking combined definitely gives it that classic death metal sound that I believe any metal head, no matter the genre can appreciate.
"Darkness Thy Gift" has more of a groovy atmosphere to it. But don't get me wrong, it still slams and chugs through the entire track. Heavy and brutal is still the theme and they are achieving that without question. I would have to say that "Cognitive Dissonance" is probably my favorite track on the album. The intro catapults a build up your way and then hits you with the groovy chugs before the vocals even appear. It really gives off that raging yet depressing feel that makes you want to move and jump in the pit. "A Final Conflict" continues the enraged sound with some blast beats but adding more of a dissonance guitar sound through it all and then ending abruptly. The final track on this hard hitting album is "Victa Morte". It comprises with the same outline as the previous tracks but at the same time it has the "ending to the story" sound to it.
All in all, "Endless Return" has everything you need to get your death metal fix. The entire album is without a doubt a mix of explosive vocals, punchy and brutal drumming, and heavy but groovy riffs. I applaud these guys with the technicality and complexity that they set out to achieve since their sophomore album and I got to say that they damn sure nailed it.
