This is the new album of Destroyer 666, a band that took its first war-steps in black metal in the early 90's (almost the same time Marduk were created).
There are 8 aggressive and really war lusted songs in 'Phoenix Rising'each one with its own personality.
The band tends to have a variety of playing speed during the cd; a song can start in a rhythmic way and suddenly blast its self to the abyss of pure black metal. Some of you may think that it sounds a bit like Marduk since it has almost the same feeling in music and the same lust for war ...but lets not forget that they were formed the same year, so I am not in the position of judging who was influenced by whom. Some cool guitar riffs and even solos (!!!) are involved in some of the songs such as in
