This is the third full-length album from the guys of HELLRAISER, a band based in Imola in Italy. Their first release was and EP by the name of ''Revenge of the Countdown to Infinity'' back in 2012. This is their first release in over 4 years and they definitely took their time to establish their sound, put the work in to be a more mature band. With this album, they pretty much established their sound for the near future. The cover art is pretty sweet, it reminded me a bit of the album covers of the last few SYMPHONY X albums. Props to the artist on that wicked cover art.

I may or not be a spoiled Power Metal fan. Let's face it I was bombarded by bands and albums in the mid to late nineties. I might not have been the biggest Power Metal fan back them (my older brother was). I discovered so many bands back then and as a Metal fan since 1993, I was not keen on the style and it took me a number of years to truly appreciate some of the bands (let's be honest, not all bands are good). I may have been out of the loop a bit in the last few years in the genre. I have broaden my horizons so to speak and I do listen occasionally to some Power Metal and I do crank my stereo sometimes while listening to some of the classics I grew up with. So that may be one of the reasons why I tend not to be impressed with what is out there nowadays. Like I said, I may have been too spoiled for my own good.

You have a capable vocalist but lacks that passion in his voice and it's difficult to compare him to the great ones in the genre. He has a very good voice but lacks something to stand out in a crowd. He does a pretty good job but just lacks that presence a Power Metal band needs to be perfectly honest. You have some pretty good guitarists and decent solos here and there but nothing groundbreaking. They have some great chorus support but it's nothing we haven't heard before. There is work to be done and sometimes songs lack that energy that guitarists are supposed to give. There is a lot of progression for the previous album, the sound is forming but it's pretty much fairly basic Power Metal and it's enjoyable. Like I said, I was a spoiled fan back in the day, the band has some promise but there is a lot of work to be done to complete some promising elements.
