Since formation in 2015 as BLOOD MIST; until 2017, the band in question have only this here debut album in their discography so far... entitled: "Chronicles". 8 tracks ranging at around 45:19; HAZE MAGE arranges an intricately designed formula of heavy-hitting Stoner/Doom Metal amalgamations, the titular track begins the record - conveying a fuzzy loop of distorted adrenaline, amplified bounciness fused with crunchy instrumentation in which waves with meticulous musicianship. Fueled; hardened hymns haste with relentlessly rambunctious speed, ultilizing uniquely versatile vehemence that stampedes with rampaging techniques. Subjugating solid slabs of profusely robust rhythms that pack a borderline foundation of flamboyantly fluidly persistency, polished with prodegious pursuits that overarchs into chugging barrages & frenzied gallops.

Consisting of Matthew Casella on vocals; the frontman demonstrates diligently high-pitched pipes of a raw aesthetic, assisting an adroit attribute of deep grunginess and gnarly vibes. "Storm Blade" is a complexly chaotic track; transistioned with dexterous composition from guitar duo Kevin Considine & Nick Jewett, embellishing on experimental grooves & concrete grittiness as it generates into a creative distinction of diversely dynamic malignance - nasty yet layered with thick riffs and solos that thumps with thunderous stability. "Bong Witch" unsurprisingly slows things down; injecting blistering buldges of infectious harmonies, implementing an old-school narrative of jumpy jolts with a neo-classical culmination. Audible bassist Scott Brenner also contributes a consistent assortment of catchy firepower, expertise & a hint of hostile melodies that manifests volatile pummeling while juxtaposed with sophisticated soundscapes & mid-tempo savagery.

"Fire Wizards" distributes captivating craftsmanship; forging frantic frolicking, and bashful battering from drumming powerhouse John de Campos – pounding slams that stomp with gloomy, laden oppression & melancholic mayhem. While "Corpse Golem" executes & explodes excelling establishments of distinguishable songwriting memorability; original orchestration, transformed with ominous yet mellifluous ramifications. "Priest Of Azathoth" pursuits with similarly yet more primitive systematics; sonically seamless talent, revolved with rapidly swift nimbleness & remedious perseverance. HAZE MAGE harvest an inventively immense force of detailed prerequisites; resulting in refreshing results, salubriously remarkable virtuosity & a ritualistic summoning of smashing drum cymbal kinetics - not to mention the pulsating patterns of razor-sharp shreds that roar with precise progression.

"Harbringer" showcases sinister shrieks; mixed with the aforementioned characteristics, dominating deadly concepts in which portray quintessential quirks that rumble with strong swerves & striking performances of euphoniously fulfilling entertainment. Overall concluding "Chronicles" with the epic finale track: "Dread Queen"; using an acoustic anthem at the start, unleashing more killer howls with subtle raspiness that represents monstrously rigorous noise and another angelic ending makes this record very tasteful indeed. HAZE MAGE certainly outdone themselves here, and is definitely worth the time. An enjoyably entertaining discovery that most metal maniacs will, and should relish.
