Inculter - Fatal Visions album cover

Norwegian Blackened Thrash Metal band INCULTER was formed in Fusa during the year 2012. The band has four releases to its' credit, including the latest one, "Fatal Visions".

The album starts off with "Open The Tombs," a fast-paced song with a sound that brought SLAYER to mind immediately with its wailing guitars and thrash-infused beat. "Impending Doom" is even faster with a sharp vocal delivery, aggressive guitar attack and an outstanding bass-line combined with thunderous percussion along with an excellent guitar solo thrown in for good measure. If there was ever a song that was Wall-Of-Death worthy, this would be it.

I like all of the tracks on this album; my personal favorites are "Endtime Winds," "Final Darkness," and "Fatal Visions".  "Endtime Winds" has a slow, Doom-heavy beginning that gradually speeds up in a manner that is flawless; the pace and tempo are perfect, no other way to describe it.  You feel as if the song is literally pulling you in while you listen to it. Once the speed increases you're ready for it. It's one of the best songs in this genre that I've heard in a while because it's just so GOOD.  "Final Darkness" starts quickly, reminding me a little of SLAYER'S classic hit "War Ensemble".  It's pure Blackened Thrash Metal at its best- fast, brutal and relentless. The song also has the best guitar solo on the whole album, too, which is intricate and well-played. "Fatal Visions" sets out at a blistering pace which combines with a a commanding vocal performance and even more seriously brutal guitar riffs. The song sounded like something from the glory days of Death Metal back in the early 1990s. There is little question that INCULTER is more than ready to carry on the tradition themselves.

As I mentioned before, I like entire album. It kept me interested and will definitely be a valued addition to my personal collection. I highly recommend it to anyone else who has a good ear for high quality Metal music.
