Clawfinger - Life Will Kill You album cover

Oh, I missed these crazy guys! Despite their clever cover, they are back with an equally good album! I think that CLAWFINGER is one of the few bands that you can say that they have created their own style. Two years after their last work Hate Yourself With Style (2005), which by the way was amazing, they return with one more CLAWFINGER propaganda! Ride on!
Swedish act CLAWFINGER was formed back in 1988 by two lunatics, Zak Tell and Jocke Skog. Since then, they have managed to create a more than decent name and have also managed to become a band that receives a lot of criticism due to their rather caustic style. After their contract with Nuclear Blast, their name has been elevated a bit in the Metal rankings. Let's see what their brand new full-length effort has to offer.
Having listened to Life Will Kill You several times, I can say that CLAWFINGER stick to their classic style and do not perform many experiments on their sound. Zak's insane singing style is here for one more time to remind us of the madness we live in and the rest four members surely help him! The rhythm section is pretty good as it always is and the guitars function perfectly changing the mood of the tracks when needed. If you know the band, you will definitely expect their trademark Rapcore stuff and their symphonic themes, you know, RAMMSTEIN style. The lyrics have to do with social issues and those subjects surely help their caustic gloriousness unfold! The production needs no comments of course, since I always thought that their sound fits them like a glove! What I realized about this band is that as time goes by, they remind me of the after Cazares era of FEAR FACTORY. You know, catchy tunes, groovy rhythm section, industrial touches and some rap style singing (which is CLAWFINGER's trademark).
If you are a fan of modern stuff and you adore bands like FEAR FACTORY and KORN, I think that you will find an album that will definitely please your appetite. Fans of CLAWFINGER will be pleased to see that their favorite band has returned with a more than good album. Purchase, listen and enjoy...
