Memoriae", which has gone down really well with Metal fans including yours truly who wrote that review. Then they went to the Golden Gods Awards last year and won the Global Metal Award. So what more can Kaoteon do to progress his Metal journey, how about a solo album. Done. Let's see how is goes...

"Hollow" starts with a deafening blast of vocals and instruments. It's coarse and raw with the vocals. The song keeps the heads banging and feet tapping from the off. The drum beat is intense and along with the bass and guitar, creates an awesome melody with aspects of Black, Death and Thrash thrown in. You can hear and appreciate the different influences in style here, and unlike some other artists, Kaoteon makes it blend together beautifully. "Beyond Pain and Pleasure" holds nothing back from the off. Very similar approach to his name sake band KAOTEON. The vocals are sharp and set a good pace along with the instruments. There is a raw feel to the song which creates the raw modern Black Metal vibes throughout. It works very well. It's not a long song, but leaves you wanting more, which is always a plus

"Implode Explode" has a short intro that sounds like something RINGS OF SATURN would throw out, it is played to perfection. The vocals are perhaps not as deep as other songs on the album, but as there is a more clean-cut approach from the band as a whole it works. Its more Blackened Thrash than Black Metal, but it's a different and new way of creating sound as a band. "Neurotic Breakdown" has a deeper, more Death Metal aspect in its approach, which is different to some of the songs on here, so it adds a new depth, which all good albums need. There is so much attention to detail from the instrumentalists, you can tell they've worked hard on not only working out how they can create their own sound, but how it can blend into and upgrade the sounds of the others. The beat is kept up throughout wonderfully. This song has a lot of emphasis on the instruments, making it less about how the vocals sound, which isn't a bad thing at all. It allows full rewards going to the band as a whole

"Narcissist Bastard Nation" reintroduces the Thrash aspect back into the album. Most Thrash bands would have loved a riff like this for their debut album. Vocally, I'm feeling the BEHEMOTH influences. It's a great approach, aggression meets passion. The overall pace and balance work well. I'd be happy to listen to an album made up of songs like this. It shows a control that the band has as one. It shows it in full when you think that only Anthony is a full-time band member.

If you find out before listening to the album, that there are a few guest vocals that sound different to one another, that would be a good thing. You don't want to think its Anthony, just changing his vocal stance every song. Go into this album like listening to MARK MORTAN's album. Knowing that it is full of guests.
