Way to go Illinois! LIVIDITY has released their seventh full-length album, "Perverseverance" via Metal Age Productions. Founded in 1993, LIVIDITY delivers some seriously perverted and wretched brutal death metal. While there are some grind influences it's mostly in some of the track lengths. Sitting around or under the two-minute mark. The guitar tone is very close to OBITUARY with a CANNIBAL CORPSE picking style. Blasting beats and sub-bass frequency growls. While you can tell LIVIDITY mean business with their two-ton onslaught of pounding brutality, the audio samples that play throughout demonstrate a great sense of humor and will please the ears of all of you nasty little deviant pervs out there. "Cumming With Labial Pulp " is the best example. An absolutely hilarious sample that mentions "The vagina is cast iron" right before a jackhammering, blasting wall of furious and tight metal mayhem begins.

"Bitch Cunt Fuck" clocking in at 1:47 and only 40 seconds is music just kills me. I was so busy laughing through the end of the audio sample I had to replay the music I missed. LIVIDITY seem most obsessed with all things anal. Even though the track is short, an aspect found in grind, its just short and sweet death metal. "Pussy Lover Salvation" begins with every slang term for the vagina known to man being snarled out of the mouth of an older British woman. For the most part, LIVIDITY plays at warp speed and on occasion slips in the little groove rhythm ala SIX FEET UNDER, JUNGLE ROT, OBITUARY. However, this time as the slow sludging palm mutes work there way over a couple power chords its still just thick, nasty, and heavy. The vocals are pretty inaudible for the first listen and at times close to SUFFOCATION. This track features a second vocalist adding in some accenting screams then contributing some ripping lows.

There isn't a lot to say that hasn't already been said. LIVIDITY is easy to describe. Brutal Death Metal. With a side of pull, the stick out of your ass and don't be so serious. Or maybe, in this case, put the stick in your ass?? These guys are sick and on top of creating blasting death metal. The audio production is fantastic and delivers the low end perfectly. If you are uneasy with sexual content or easily offended this is not the way to go. If you enjoyed the lyrical content of PUNGENT STENCH but wanted to listen to heavier music, Bingo. Worth mentioning, the picking sweeps heard in "Parasitic Infestation". Executed well and with good placement. These guys are friggin awesome. "Perverseverance" is a great brutal death metal album that will make even the darkest of the dark crack a smile.
