Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: ABOLETH; signed via WURMgroup Records, hailing from the United States of America - performing Stoner Metal/Rock, on their debut album entitled: "Benthos" (released on May 25th, 2018).

The quintet in question have an EP entitled: "EP-I" (which was released on June 17th, 2016) and this here debut album entitled: "Benthos", 10 tracks ranging at around 40:37... ABOLETH arrange an intricately designed formula of hard-hitting Stoner Metal/Rock amalgamations. Culminating these sub-genres delivers a solid slab of concretely fuzzy, gritty and raw aesthetics, "Wovenloaf" begins the record with distinguished developments - progressively manifesting with a grandiose proficiency of relentlessly battering melodies, contrasting with consistently distinctive harmonies and fluidly distorted bounciness. The band demonstrates typically stoner riffs; fuelled with hardened technicalities, which conveys a profusely robust persistency in the creativity department.

Consisting of Brigitte Roka on vocals; the frontman portrays clean, high-pitched singing with a hint of roughness for that extra boost of power. "Fork In The Road" showcases complex songwriting adroitness; constructing an organic substance of dynamically diverse varieties of vehemence and diligent expertise, Collyn McCoy on bass/guitars distributes an excelling element of dexterity and dirt in "No Good" as he supplies rapidly swift nimbleness and pulverizing sound production equalities of brutally crunchy rhythms and filthy melodious ramifications. "Black Box" efficiently embellishes on flamboyant finesse, blistering extremity converged with boisterous craftsmanship. "Glass Cutter" has an ambient injection, still managing to hammer with thunderous vibrancy and rumbling madness.

Powerhouse drummer Marco Minnemann crushes his steel with pummelling hooks which enjoyably captivate me, "Shark Town Blues" however tones things down with elegant acoustic-like anthem of bluesy components - a nice break from the noise which makes a return in "Ode To Plastic", electrically slams the soul with energetic enlightenments that are admirably commendable. "Vinny Gets Arrested" is a most peculiar title, still establishing exquisite entertainment which has salubrious efficaciousness. "The Devil" advances with devilish hymns, still rampaging like a stampede while producing deadly fulfillments of lavish inventfulness. Overall concluding the record with "Wytches"; ABOLETH certainly outdone themselves with "Benthos", maybe a bit too loud but a good discovery.<
