Death Strike - Fuckin' Death album cover

DEATH STRIKE formed in 1985 out of Chicago, IL. They were very underrated for an early death metal band. The Album "Fuckin' Death" was first released as a demo under the same name. DEATH STRIKE  was absolutely ahead of their time. If you are a fan of DEATH or POSSESSED I highly recommend DEATH STRIKE!

They start off the album with the track "The Truth" which really sets the tone for the rest of the album. "The Truth" is in my top three favorites on this album. John Leprich's drum work is fantastic throughout the entirety of "Fuckin' Death", as well as the guitar work by Chris Mittleburn and Kirk Miller. In my opinion Paul Speckman's vocals were definitely on point for the late 80's early 90's.

The second track "Mangled Dehumanization" really gives you a swift kick in the ass from the start. Its very aggressive in the best way possible. Onto track three "Re-Entry And Destruction" keeps up this fast paced and perfect record. I highly suggest giving "Re-Entry And Destruction" a listen! Up at number four "Pay To Die" fucking tears it the hell up! If this song could be re-recorded now it could easily be one of my favorite songs ever.

Now "The Final Conflict" is hands down my favorite song on the album. I would dare to say it constitutes as a Melodic Death Metal song. It also has a slight Doom Metal feel to me. Everything about "The Final Conflict" is perfect and if you don't want to buy the whole album you should definitely purchase this song to add to your early Death Metal repertoire.

Track six "Man Killed America/Embryonic Misconceptions" really threw me off for a second in the beginning because they used  "God Bless America" as the riff. But it actually came together afterwards. It wasn't bad, I just didn't understand it at first. All in all it was a pretty decent song. "Pervert" the seventh song and second to last track is as heavy as they come. It even has a pretty sick solo towards the end. I really enjoyed it.

And finally the last song on this amazing album comes "Remorseless Poison". It has really deep riffs and Paul Speckman's vocals got deeper as well. It is definitely a song where I would probably have the Jens Kidman face going on. If you don't know what I'm talking about shame on you. I was honestly very weary when I got this album to review but I am really happy I did. So for all you old school death metal fans out there pick this up ASAP! Thank you DEATH STRIKE for such a truly pleasing album and for being pioneers of death metal!
