Reaping Asmodeia - Impuritize album cover

REAPING ASMODEIA have unleashed their brand new album "Impuritize" via Prosthetic Records in the early months of 2017. The album consists of nine songs, and all of them contain lots of other genre influences; mostly the one the band plays, but it's kind of limitless, experimental and pretty well structured. They have also released some other material in the past, which includes: "Poison of the Earth" and "Indwelling", which was an EP.

Their new album starts with "The Clemency Guise" and the song is already at the neck of the listener, with sharp blast-beat drumming, the most brutal screaming vocals of the Deathcore genre, harsh and strong growls, brutal riffs and interesting atmospheric parts. The vocalizations are a bit more highlighted, but everything manages to remain balanced in this song. "Defenestration" starts off quite melodically, with more growling than in the previous track. To give you an idea how these guys sound, I'd like to recommend you a few bands that would fit their description; they include: NECROPHAGIST, DESPISED ICON, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and DECAPITATED.

"Of Talons and Teeth" is a bit more experimental than the two we heard previously; it's certainly sharper and more Death Metal-oriented, with a slight touch of Deathcore, and all wrapped up in glorious technicality. "Hidebound" has an intro, with some speech against the government, with what I strongly agree with. The track itself is pretty dissonant in the beginning, later adding more elements of brutal passages, technical and melodic guitar melodies, vocals that you heard on the previous tracks, all mixed up just a bit. "Carnal Declivity" is once again a song with strong breakdowns, brutal and fast guitar parts, and harsher vocalizations. Still, so far this one is my favorite; and the rest of the album pretty much goes in the same direction.

Definitely give these guys a spin if you're into Brutal, Technical or Melodic Death Metal and Deathcore!
