Weaponizer - Lawless Age album cover

Colorado's own terrorizer of metal WEAPONIZER hits the aboveground stage with their full length sophomore  release titled Lawless Age via 20 Buck Spin Records. An album with hard hitting rhythms, lively guitar works to powerful thrash vocals that cause a tornado of musical rapture to the listener. Tapping into their creative juices WEAPONIZER delivers extreme thrash metal to an entire new level that seems to blast into a new life unto itself. Slapping the senses silly with their introduction track "Malefactor" kicks off the listener with a shot of sheer harmonious prowess that mixes an influence of 80's thrash (early CELTIC FROST, SEPULTRA, SODOM) to modern day acts of DESTROYER 666. What could one ask for in a band that utilizes all it's musical resources to generate something natural and yet distinct at the same time. Now this is what WEAPONIZER is all about!

Shaking up the decibel a notch or two, song three "Vulture" rattles the mental cage with a slow melodic beginning that takes off into fast guitar riffs (think of a mix of early VENOM meets SLAYER), deep penetrating growls and incessant drumming that are guaranteed to enliven any brutal atmosphere. Wait, for it doesn't stop there songs that are sure to pile drive it up the walls are "Gangrene" and "Temple Of The Iron Skull". Both songs attract highly charged vibrations that ring true to any metalhead that scream for intensity in this deary world we live in today. Moving on to the production of Lawless Age, it has an edge that shows the seriousness of how WEAPONIZER conveys itself, guitars are well expressed and one can hear each instrument in its brutal form. Extremely well done for this fab four and also the band writes extremely well written lyrics that are nothing to complicated. Rhythm section of the bass and drums are well matched and evenly toned out which is pure bliss to those that love the heart beat of a band. Vocally Barbarian delivers it 100% with his raging vocal growls that bring character to the rest of this awesome bunch.

WEAPONIZER overall guarantees to satisfy any picky fan for it brings light touches of black metal that twist well with extreme thrash making for a highly active band that can show other acts out there who can really kick some serious poser ass! Highly recommend to check this act out if you are seeking quality intense metal. Great work WEAPONIZER!
