SCENARIO II is a death metal band from the Netherlands, formed in 2007. "A New Dawn" is there second full length studio album. "Rapture" builds intensity with a slow start, which then jumps into brutal screaming and thumping drums. Angelic vocals contrast the low growls giving this track a wider and bigger sound. Guitars chime in admits the chaos, loud enough to be heard but not loud enough to be classed as obnoxious and compromise the vocals. "The promised wasteland" ambient sounds surround a lightly toned guitar; drums add a new layer providing a slow but punchy beat. Duel guitars add to the thickness of the track. There's not much more to say about this track as it is only one minute forty-eight seconds long, however this song is beautifully arranged.

"End game" thunders in like a runaway train, guitars envelope the track whilst the drum slowly beats away. When the screaming starts the drums kick into overdrive making this a head bangers anthem. The song seems almost black metal influence as if it's the vibe it gives off. "Disclosure" lightly bumps  in, only change its tone to a death metal slaughter fest soon after. Drums strike perfectly like lightning and a killer riff is played throughout. The band have obviously worked very hard as a unit, we can see this due to the fact every time change and tempo shift is executed perfectly with no hesitation.

Overall scenario II released a death metal record which would fit in any age and will stand the test of time. Improvements could be made in areas such as the screamers growls are pronounced, however lack definition and sometime meld into the background. The drums keep speed without going off tempo. A lot of drummers struggle with this as it requires a lot of skill and concentration.
