CAPTAIN CRIMSON is a hard rock band from Sweden, founded by the lead singer of the Stoner Rock band BLOWBACK in the year of 2010, just having released their fourth full length album entitled "Remind," a self-explanatory title that serves that precise purpose, Invigorating in a soothing manner. This album is a sleek reminder of all those things we sometimes take for granted, those things that become part of us and are sometimes forgotten but everyday sustain the very fabric of our existence, and a refreshing example of how a band can pay homage to a vintage style and still come up with a proposal for a new creative work. It's a mellow sound progression that allows for the listeners to create a bond with the interpreters from the very first tracks this album depicts once more the capability of CAPTAIN CRIMSON as carriers of the Hard Rock flag for the future of the genre. For obvious reasons this record is an inevitable connection to the best sounds produced by Hard Rock and the emerging power of Heavy Metal back in the late sixties and early seventies, combining fusion rock elements with southern and sludge sounds and keeping an everlasting skirmish on the guitar riffs and rhythm section. It is actually refreshing to forget about death and destruction for a while, and I don't mean the bands.

"Love Street" was without a doubt my favorite song with an immediate appeal to the most sacred classical figures of the sixties and seventies from the intro itself, serving as a swift reference of Jimi Hendrix or like watching an episode of Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. The guitar riffing and the way the bass and  drums complement to shape the flow of the songs remind me of LESLIE WEST and THIN LIZZY, without any doubts this records is the pure example of a band acquiring a certain level of maturity necessary to compose, record and play this tracks with an outstanding sound and execution.
