FRAGORE is a thrash/death metal band from Giaveno (Italy) founded in 2007. After two self-produced albums, "The Dark Side of Ambition" (2009) and "The Keeper" (2011), FRAGORE, started working with producer Ettore Rigotti (BABYMETAL, DESTRAGE etc.) and recorded "Armored" (EP, 2012) and "The Reckoning" (2014), released via Murdered Music. In February 2015 FRAGORE signed for Rockshots Music Management.

Between summer and fall 2015, FRAGORE went back to the studio with with producer Ettore Rigotti for the recordings of their new album, "Asylum", which was released on 13th of May 2016.

The album starts with a slow intro, "Lost", which is perfectly absorbed into the first track, "Hidden Truth". This tune sets the mood for the whole records with well cadenced guitars, perfectly metrical drumbeats, a moment of clean vocal and deadly headbanging rhythms.

"Molotov" has a great guitar riffs that carries through the whole song, even if at moments it reminds me of some SYSTEM OF A DOWN riffing. However, the most impressing part of this song is definitely the relentless drumming. And the outstanding vocals captivating, screechy and growling all at once. Perhaps this is the most "radio friendly tune of the album, the chorus certainly gets stuck into our heads rather quickly.

"Alone" surprises us with a clean vocal start, but it's only temporary as the devastating growls stars right after and carry us through the hypnotic tune.
The guitars are quite melodic here, almost giving a sing-a-long atmosphere with their chords.

"Revenge" changes completely the game and goes full force with fast guitars and drums at full speed. Good headbanging tune no doubt. Simple and brutal. An interesting break through the song with a small solo has a bit of PANTERA feelings here.

"Thor" is as well a very catchy song with fast blast beats and a marching style drum feel. Fast guitars and uncompromising vocal roars, one of my favourite of this album.

"Asylum" is a great mix of Death with bits of new Metal, even if it could, perhaps, have a bit more variants in rhythms it is an enjoyable album.  The guys have great potential as musicians and the production is really spot-on. We can await more great songs from FRAGORE, this is for sure. <
