Metal maniacs, rejoice! The Thrasher returns to present to you, MURDER MADE GOD, signed to Comatose Music; hailing from Greece and performing Technical/Brutal Death Metal on their 2nd sophomore album entitled, "Enslaved".
Since formation in 2011, MURDER MADE GOD have 1 album behind them entitled, "Irreverence" (released in 2013). The quintet in question are in their prime with their next release, "Enslaved" (released April 15th, 2016) Death Metal always fulfills any Metal cravings I may have; I occasionally return to the Death Metal origins with the kings known as DEATH, and doing so instantly motivates my hunger, tenfold, with pure unadulterated Death Metal. The quartet in question offers a similar experience; with a progressive twist of Tech-Death implementations. With not much diversity, Brutal Death Metal is exactly what you get and shouldn't be diversifying all too much. If you can implement a wealth of material in your repertoire however, there is no need to diversify for the sake of being unique. With an abundant amount of DECAPITATED-esque grooves that just can't be distinguished, it's suffice to say that this record is not for the faint of heart.
Consisting of George on vocals, showcasing extreme growls that proficiently excels to some utmost brutal cords that defines the sub-genre indefinitely. As well as some complex musicianship, making the instrumentation pleasantly elegant where the guitarist, Dennis, pummels at some prominent riffery that spells dexterity and flair. Efficiently equal to the pummeling powerhouse that Stelios on bass and Tolis on drums offer, this 31:28 record exercises some of the most enjoyably executed blast-beatery with a strong variety of mid-tempo crushers and well-crafted chugging grooves while being technically complex for that assorted mix of consistent, yet challenging, arrangements. 10 blistering tracks enslave this CD and without a doubt, every listen got me supremely excited to a repeated listen, making "Enslaved" an easy contender to being 2016's extreme record of the year.
"Victims", "Enslaved", & "The Titan, The Fighter And The Thief", open up the record with a competent display of epic blast beating, while showcasing the Technical riffery of their prowess at large. "A Morbid Institution", "Depression", & "Assassines!" are some of the records longest songs, while providing propulsive songwriting that define headbanger clarity. More brutality comes with "The Irony Of Faith", "Subject 666", & "Urban Warfare"; showcasing tremolo low-string riffing and extraordinary, yet beefy, growls excel to some mid-paced songs delivering unprecedented technicality while building up tension for aggression. "Involuntary Servitude" caps the record in an unsurprisingly violent finale; I have nothing to complain about really, as I enjoyed the record multiple times and a genre of this magnitude is about what you'd expect; pure unadulterated musical destruction. Check it the frig out!<
