Message To Venus - Victims & Villains album cover

I'm here with a band from Puerto Rico, Central American called MESSAGE TO VENUS founded in Miami, USA. They're making a lot of successful albums on the heavy music scene, and they have in the past been compared with bands like DEFTONES and ALICE IN CHAINS. Now, they're releasing their first full-length called "Victims & Villains" towards the end of 2015.

With a colorful artwork with a lot elements included in the cover it's almost a visual pollution. They come with a talented line-up with influences in Grunge that they tactfully mix with modern elements and influences from bands like THE MARS VOLTA making a modern Heavy Metal record.

"Victims & Villains" offers something for almost every fan. You can find several faster songs, and also some ballads too. But the album presents great musical diversity in all of the tracks offered. MESSAGE TO VENUS have an uncompromised sound without all the technique and virtues, but is pleasant to listen on this album. With a sound that is rather modern it's easy to catch new fans, especially teenagers, and the songs have this catchiness that makes you sing the chorus during hours! Heavy ballads like "Over & Done", which is one of the singles from this album is one of the highlight. "Pre-Violence" mixes with faster songs like "Unknown" and "Violent" to create a Punk Rock-sounding song, and "The End" fits nicely in between the other songs.

Talking generically about this album is easy to listen and pleasant - Nadal's voice is is quite polished and the instrumental line-up kicks asses. If you are open-minded, you will like this album like I did and listen it twice or more times.

If you want to listen the new Heavy Metal band take a chance to listen to MESSAGE TO VENUS, and get caught with their talents of mixing Grunge with their other Heavy Metal influences. It's not a simply band with all-the-same sound to every song they play like what happens many times nowadays. They make an excellent work here with creativity that sounds different, and keeps the listener captivated for an entire album.
