Life Of Excess
Shit Fucking Shit

There are a lot of things I can say about this band and I will try to make this review as objective as possible, because there are many points of view to give on this band, regardless of whether or not you're a Grindcore fan .The band title says it all; the SHIT FUCKING SHIT crew from Trieste, Italy represents the crazy and dark side of an overly creative mind.
When everything is already boring and used like a bunch of old underwear, then why not to take those used and old, disgusting underwear and sew them together to create something new, and witness the birth of SHIT FUCKING SHIT's "Life Of Excess" album. A three member team doing a great work with noisy and disgusting music, just by looking at the amazingly repulsive art work you knows it's going to be nasty GrindCore! And what's more? It's not that awful!
Surely, we are talking mostly about Grindcore, but it's also mixed with a little bit with Punk, Grunge and even Death Metal. As it expected from Grindcore to be a big mush of aggressive puke, surprisingly it has good recording sound, and a decent compositions here and there.
Good clean and punchy drums are played by Sandro, with kicking blasts but also groovy twist. The guitar played by Peter, has a super low tune and played some nice diverse riffs, though sometimes too repeatable and annoying. The vocals performed also by Peter expected to be shockingly terrible, just like a monster pig squealing to the microphone, but surprising to be the opposite, Peter has some good low growl skills which gives it the Death Metal spice.
Handled by Claudio, the steady bass beat leads the band perfectly, but what's the most adorable is the crunchy Punk parts for example, the intro for "Frohe Punk Alt Und Krank" are surprising and jolly aside heavy and distorted lines of "Gonorrea".
To take a look more in to the content of the album you can see how entertaining it is, Just a look at the list of 28 tracks had made me mad, but in a second time I had noticed that the average track duration is about a minute or less, some of the tracks are about 2 minutes and just few reaches 3 minutes and it interested me.
The first loop was confusing, I couldn't understand the time flow, there's no sense of it since most of the songs sounds the same, and it's hard to figure out when a song starts and when it ends. So why to cut it for so many pieces?
The whole structure is way more interesting than a typical album and it might have also a bigger meaning, maybe the track list represents the "Life of Excess", the small things we have and some we wish we hadn't, such as "Sublime Anal Corrosion", I guess.
The good recording quality makes people like me, who are far from liking this genre, to tolerate and even respect the effort for this team had to put in this album.
In my thoughts, this repulsive piece of art deserves critical praise, even though it's Grindcore and I think you have to be a sick person to actually love this genre; it is a good, decent and very entertaining album.
