Well this was quite unexpected. I never ever heard about his band to be perfectly honest and they blew me away. Well not at first listening though, I was not liking the vocals that much because it reminded me of Chester Bennington of LINKIN PARK but at least there was not the rapping of that crappy band. Actually the sound of the band at the beginning did remind me of that band, in a sense, they probably grew up with that style of music and it nurtured the awakening of what they liked and disliked about any particular music.

But it really is a departure from that style of band and does remind me more of bands that have harsh and clean vocals and do alternate at a better pace than a lot of bands out there. Clean vocals do not take a backseat to the harsher stuff, it's pretty much a win-win situation and it gels quite well with their musical stylings. It's upfront technical metal but with an edge.

A pleasant surprise was the harshness of the vocals and the transition between the clean voice (which isn't really that present actually) and it really reminded me of a very underrated album and band that some may know out here, TIMES OF GRACE, the side project of the actual singer (whom was brought back a few years back) of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. It was an album I highly enjoyed a few years ago and I had the chance to see them live at Heavy MTL the same year they got this album out. It's pretty much the same style and I really enjoyed NO CONSEQUENCE, much more than any review I have done as of yet.

There are two instrumental songs on this album, beginning with the first song and one pretty much at the middle of the album. Both songs remind me of the technical prowess of BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME.

An album I suggest highly to anyone looking some good technical metal with a great transition process!
