When you think in Ireland, in Music scene, you can just think in U2. But Ireland doesn't resume in only the Bono Vox quartet. They're THIN LIZZY too and now, STEREO NASTY, that they debuting your album called "Nasty by Nature". Their song had the influences in Traditional Heavy Metal and some bits in Hard Rock like TWISTED SISTER. The artwork is typical 80's with a beautiful woman using spikes and leather clothes. It's good to see this cover art, because you can imagine how could be the sound that waits for you.
The quartet is very balanced and also the production making nothing more virtuous, neither anything so simple. They just make the necessary in their songs. The songs had less than 5 minutes and it's enough to show us a competent Heavy Metal. In the beginning, it's hard to use Mahon's voice, but if you like to listen Dee Snider or maybe Udo Dirkshneider voice - that high harsh voice - it's easy then. The riffs and solos are simple, short and relevant.
The songs follow the same formula. A Heavy/Hard Rock like SCORPIONS and TWISTED SISTER with something like ACCEPT in some parts did in 80's. The chorus are sticky and the songs can excite you.
The highlight in "Nasty By Nature" are "Black Widow", "Interestellar", "The Fear", and "The Warriors". All these songs and the entire album, as I told you, follow the same formula. But the band does a competent work and it makes to take a chance to the band. You can pay attention to the instrumental. They make a fantastic work and - to a beginner band - they are above average.
Besides it, you can't notice anything special that shines the band. And if you like the 80's atmosphere, Hard/Heavy, take a chance to the Ireland quartet STEREO NASTY. But if you search something different or more original, you don't like "Nasty By Nature" and just wait to their second album be better than this.
