Fucking Trouble Maker
Proll Guns

While I was trying to dig the available promos few weeks ago, I found this album's genre being mentioned as 'Thrash N Roll', which caught my attention and here I am trying to find out if my next 14 minutes is worth the time or not. Seriously, the number of mixed genres and sub genres are getting quite funny and interesting. What other new sub genres can you predict today?
Anyways, so we got Austria's Thrash n Roll band PROLL GUNS who released their EP "Fucking Trouble Maker" earlier this May with this EP being just 3 songs, so record starts with a tempo building typical country rock sound in the title track "Fucking Troublemaker", instantly reminding me of bands like TEXAS.
HIPPIE COALITION and HELLYEAH, even though these lads take their lyrics in their own direction in drinking, violence, etc. The sound is very infectious and the band rightly markets itself as a Thrash N Roll band, and clears all my doubts that I have had until now. The guitar work is not overtly technical and fast, but done with precision and with enough technicality to get the groove and the angry screaming vocals going. The weirdly named "Horseflesh Barbecue" is more of an anthem which could be a perfect song for the band's live shows as the backing vocals work really well along with the groove, besides the raw growling vocals of Evil Ed. The song is the most impressive of all the 3 as the heaviness is more infectious than ever and is a great hair lifting song due to the juicy riffs. The record ends in a classic cowboys' style with the band giving a tribute to Texas in the song "From Texas To Hell" as the song starts with a slow country guitar work, before exploding into another heavy Thrash N Roll, another excellent song for live shows.
It's clearly visible that the lads have decided to take their musical and lyrical influence from the cowboy culture even though they originate from a distant country of Austria, and the influence from aforementioned bands and even PANTERA and MOTORHEAD is clearly visible. This is a fun ride for every Thrash, Hard Rock and Rock n Roll fan, and I am now going to try and dig their previous record, i.e. their 2013 full length album "And The Western Blood Runs". So folks, don't think twice, just go for this record. Good 14 minutes of excellent music.
