Close The Circle

Well... well... I confess I'm not the biggest fan of bands that play Power Metal, but within the first seconds hearing this album something caught my attention about this band. The Swedish band LIGHT OF CANDLE in 16-year career have only released 2 albums released, and after a long seven years hiatus, their latest release brings the album "Close The Circle". And how would the South Americans "start with the right foot" or, start in the best possible way, as you prefer ...
The album starts with the title track that leads us to some variables including: the electronic elements, with riffs weight, and accompaniment by well synchronized drums along with everything else. The chorus of the song is quite strange, and makes you sing the song in less than 1 minute. This is what goes on with the radio these days now, too!
...Fuck! Following, on the next track, "Voices From The Dead" the band have a killer start with a guitar solo of fast riffs which makes the music something interesting. The drummer maintains a fast pace to accompany the singer, and his faster pace that is at the same time somehow melodious. As should any Power Metal band in this day and age...
But unfortunately in "Blood For Glory", the impression is that we are facing another IRON MAIDEN classic, and it's far from it be a good thing as it gives the distinct impression that we are facing someone who is simply copying another classic band. It all sounds so similar, since the vocal lines operated by the singer as well as the music arrangements...in other words... IT'S COPIED!
All of the other songs on the album sound the same way... like an IRON MAIDEN ripoff from start to finish. It is remarkable that we are in the presence of excellent musicians who know what they are doing, but this work is the impression that remains is that we are facing a cover band.
Beyond the individual songs mentioned earlier, one that draws more attention to bring some of the band's identity is the song that closes the album. This track is "Nightmare", and it has several elements that features the trademark of the band.
By the way, I like IRON MAIDEN... but here it is different. We are talking about the LIGHT OF CANDLE, which has the potential to further explore your creativity and give off that image that stuck rather than rip off a band that .
So the message for the metal brothers coming from Sweden is:
Focus. Creativity is the key to success, make it happen ... You can!<
