Murashita - Inescapable Damnation album cover

Masaki Murashita is already a respected name in the underground, known for his creative and powerful Extreme Metal with the band HEMOPTYSIS. Masaki now attacks with a solo EP, with a band of heavyweights, having by your side in the 5 tracks EP "Inescapable Damnation", guest names like David Ellefson (MEGADETH), Kevin Talley (SUFFOCATION, SIX FEET UNDER, CHIMAIRA), Kelly Conlon (DEATH, MONSTROSITY) and Rodney Mcglothlin (VOICE OF DISSENT), and the mixing by the well known producer Ryan Greene (MEGADETH , NOFX). Well, Masaki's capacity, by who can follow and know him, is unquestionable and his work deserves to be heard by many more people.

Transiting masterfully by Extreme Metal, read Death Metal, Melodic Death and Thrash, and with bits of traditional Metal, extreme technique, speed and melody, Masaki offers us 5 exciting and creative tracks. Leaving us with expectations of how he will come out in a full-length, if he keeps the quality and dynamics imposed on the EP, will surely be ready for the highlight of his career.

The album's production is great and all sounds heavy and clean at same time, and we can see all the care in every detail, in production and execution of the songs, to the cover layout and, sure, Masaki's great lyrical ability.

Hard to choose highlights, are five great songs, but the first two are perhaps a little above the others. "Retribution", the chosen one to the lyric video, brings heavy weight guitars, great melodies and variations, including high-speed parts, almost grindcore, but all instruments sounds clean, without losing the power that the Metal music needs. And "Inescapable Damnation", which reminds me of ARCH ENEMY from the first albums, mainly by vocal lines and melodies on guitar, and here highlighting the mark and timbre of David Ellefson on the bass.

What else can I say? Grateful Metal storm of modern and creative Extreme Metal, without forgetting the melody, great riffs and we cannot forget the powerful work of Talley on drums. High level, and we hope to listen more soon! This Show Must Go On!<
