UNCLE ACID AND THE DEADBEATS are a psychedelic rock band hailing from Cambridgeshire. UNCLE ACID AND THE DEADBEATS are putting out their latest release "The Night Creeper" via Rise Above Records.
The entire album is a bit of a psychedelic trip through the mind of a person who is a "night creeper", and all the really weird adventures they have along the way. This is paired with eerie background music that induces serious skin-crawling feelings for the listener. The entire experience is eerie, creepy, and honestly at times a bit scary. All the sounds and topics of the night are very real when listening to "The Night Creeper". The listener definitely feels like someone is out to get them even if they are just listening to an album.
"Waiting For Blood" and "Murdered Nights" paint a dark, gruesome image of the things that this creeper goes around doing under the cover of the night. Things that most of us wouldn't even be able to fathom. "Downtown" sees the creeper going downtown to populated areas where can find more prey and victims to feed himself upon. "Yellow Moon" and "Melody Lane" describe the places and the circumstances under which the night creeper does these horrible, inexplicable things to his innocent victims. Finally we see "Slow Death" and "Black Motorcade" tie up the loose ends of the atrocious crimes that this night creeper commits throughout the album.
"The Night Creeper" is not just a murderer or a villain, but rather someone who sometimes may spare his victims their lives, but makes them go mentally insane if they do survive. The psychedelic rock feeling of the album makes the listener experience that insanity while listening to the record. It really drives the point home of how cynical and messed up "The Night Creeper" really is, and the things he does to the people who he terrorizes on a nightly basis. This is definitely a great psychedelic rock record by UNCLE ACID AND THE DEADBEATS. It will send chills up the back of any thrill-seeking, psychedelic rock fan!
