Propaganda
Voron

As someone who is really big on the electronic side of music, I appreciate any band who is willing to add in different electronic elements into their music. VORON is a trio formed in late 2013 and this album, "Propaganda", was released on May 2015.
The mastering is decent and the sounds are balanced. Nothing extraordinary. The sharp sounds are all places at the side so it doesn't become overpowering. There are also some really interesting effects used for the guitars, like in the song "Is Suicide My Fate" where it sounds like Power Metal with great extended guitar solos.
The band boast upon their drummer's ability, claiming that he can produce "rich drum patterns with jazzy mind blowing passages and alternating Groove" Well they are right, the drummer is definitely able to doing some headbanging yet cerebral patterns. However, if the song requires him, he is more than willing to go down to a simple 4/4 drum beat, like in the song "Kill This Day". The band is also quite attentive to tiny details, such as how the soft bell chimes are able to give the song a closure in "Kill This Day".
Sadly, sometimes the band's experiment with Electronic Music doesn't pay off, such as in the song "Apocalypse" where it makes the song sounds thinner than it should be. Another instance in the album's poorest song "Willingly" which starts off with this weird faux-Ambient instrumentation followed by horrible vocals by guest singer Mattjo Haussi. It is an example of how the audience can tell when you are trying too hard. It's a pity though, considering how the very next song, "Fall of the Risen", has fantastic vocals even though it features the same guest singer! If you ask me, the weird blend of Ambient sounds and Industrial Metal just doesn't match too well.
And the final weakness in this album is the Voron's vocals. It doesn't hold the punch it needs to have and it is sounds drone-like after a while. Perhaps he knows it himself, as this album is full of guest singers.
We have all seen Electronic Music with Metal so there is nothing new here. Sadly, this is not the best example out there.
