Loud At Least - Dirty album cover

In a world where different is almost made the standard for music, the men at LOUD AT LEAST still believe in the power of pure metal. The powerful Austrian 5 put together their second album, and it is just okay. That is it.

The album starts off with a, in my opinion not so great, "Kill The Dragon". This song is just not quite finetuned the way I think it was supposed to be. The great thing about this is that the musical aspect is quite good. Heavy Metal as it has always been, sometimes leaning towards the slight Glam-like works. Maybe the comparison can made to STEEL PANTHER, but worse. The vocals are, in my opinion quite off compared to the music. If only that was the case, it would not have been so bad.

Even though this vibe keeps the album going, I must say that something changes at "Warm Rain". This is where the music touched me. Oh well, touched might not be it, but it started to sound good, so my attention came back, and the album made its comeback here. The vocals fit very well with this power ballad, and the musical arrangements deserve their compliments here, as well as over the entire album.

The good vibe held on over the course of the rest of the album, and it left me quite disappointed on one side, that the largest part of the album was mediocre, and the rest was quite good. I guess "Dirty"is just one of those albums where you could say that you only have to have heard a part of it. Once again, a band with talent, and in this case the slightly misplaced vocals might have been more comforting in a power ballad area. A good try, but it has not impressed me very much.
